Jan Meet at Hamilton Pool Road and Longhorn Skyway. We take Hamilton Pool to Hwy 12, then turn right on Fitzhugh Road. Most of us will be turning around at Macgregor Road. The ride is 20 miles, and the pace varies. You can go fast with the fast group or slow with the slower riders. This is a no-drop ride. Jan The race is fashioned after the popular Colorado River 100 with the same boat classes and will give racers a reason to get in shape and stay in shape throughout the winter.
Jan This is a coed ride is for intermediate riders. The Barton Creek Greenbelt is made up of creek crossings, hardpack trails, babyheads, and crazy climbs.
Jan This ride is a great fit for the intermediate rider who has spent some time on the bike riding in groups and on urban roads, but is looking for a bit more challenge in distance and speed. This no drop, co-ed ride averages 16-17mph and covers on average 30-35 miles
Jan This ride starts promptly at 7:30 from the shop at 11701 Bee Cave Road. We ride east on Bee Cave (FM 2244), then turn right on Knollwood. We ride through Lost Creek and exit Lost Creek at 360. We ride north on 360, then turn right
Jan How about a nice ride to help make the work blues disappear and jump start the weekend. Join Mellow Johnny's for the Friday Truancy ride. This co-ed, no drop ride is just the ticket for easing out of a long work week. Meet at the shop at 2:00pm, wheels down at 2:30pm. A moderately paced, 30-mile road ride through neighborhoods and official bike routes with a minimum of large roadways. Expect a few hills and optional sprints. Route: routes and distance will vary. General group ride expectation: helmet, bike in good working condition, water and nutrition, flat changing tools, no headphones, park in the street. For pre-ride coffee or snack, meet at Juan Pelota Café a half hour before ride time.
